It’s not uncommon to find stray dogs wandering the streets, searching for a place to call home. But for one mama dog in Serbia, she found her own way to keep her puppies warm and safe.
When a guy stumbled upon a box on the side of the road, he didn’t expect to find a family of dogs curled up inside. The mama dog had cleverly wrapped her litter in blankets and was snuggled up with them, trying to keep them warm in the chilly weather.
But as the man approached the box, the mama dog growled and barked, clearly protective of her babies. It took some time, but the guy slowly earned her trust, and was eventually able to move the family to a safer location.
The dogs were taken in by the Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac, where they received food, shelter, and medical care. The mama dog was given a warm bed to rest in with her pups, and together they all started to thrive.
