Euphonia violacea or most commonly known as the Violet Euphoniums are seen eating birds or finches that are non-migratory and lives in southern California and southwestern Arizona. You can also see them in the eastern part of Venezuela, Paraguay, and Argentina.
They love to consume fruits and places where there are flowers. They are super small that only measure 4 to 5 inches only in length and weigh under 0.5 ounces while their wingspan measures 4 to 5 inches.
The Violet Euphoniums differ in color depending on their gender. You will hear them called “he-she,” “she-he,” and “beem-beem” sounds when communicating.
