“Survival Instincts: Canine Endures Five Years of Solitude, Chews Off Limb to Escape Shackles.”

Freya’s experience was a terrifying one, as she was left alone under a house in St Louis, Missouri for five years after her owner passed away. The poor dog was unable to escape from her chains, and had to rely on the kindness of neighbours who would throw food and hay down for her to stay alive. Unfortunately, the chain wrapped around her leg so tightly that she had to resort to chewing it off in order to finally be free. It’s heartbreaking to think that Freya had to endure such a traumatic ordeal, but thankfully, she was eventually rescued by Stray Rescue and given the care and love that she deserved.

The folks at Stray Rescue deserve credit for rescuing a poor creature who was in dire need of help. The firefighters played their part by informing the animal welfare group about her plight. According to a post on the Stray Rescue website, the rescue operation wasn’t a cakewalk. The rescued animal was extremely frightened of humans due to lack of socialization and had been leading a miserable life in isolation.

After much effort, Donna from Stray Rescue managed to rescue a white terrier who had been extremely frightened and difficult to catch. Upon arriving at our trauma center, we found out that the terrier was not only missing a foot but also suffering from heartworm and a severe flea infestation. Her emotional state was just as bad as her physical injuries. Thankfully, Freya is now under the care of a foster family who are helping her make a full recovery.

According to the founder of the shelter, Randy Grim, the story is a melancholic and unfortunate one, but it has a remarkable conclusion.
