After capturing the scene on video, Rodrigues shared it with a friend who posted it on a local community group, leading him to identify the girl behind the heroic act. Her name is Cibely Stiegelmair, a mere thirteen-year-old who bestowed a new lease of life upon the furry animal that fateful day.
Rejane Stiegelmair, Cibely’s mother, shared that she was taken aback when her daughter showed up with a new puppy in tow. Cibely was drenched from the rain and covered in sweat, with blood on her shirt. Worried that her daughter had been hurt, Rejane asked what happened and was relieved to learn that Cibely had discovered the injured puppy. Thankfully, the pup’s injuries were not severe and with some tender loving care, it could make a full recovery. Upon seeing the lonely puppy, Cibely knew that it was up to her to offer it a home.
Rejane shared that Cibely is a compassionate and kind-hearted individual, especially when it comes to stray dogs. She empathizes with them and wishes she could adopt them all. Currently, one of these furry friends named Pretinha has found a loving home with the family.
